Role Overview
This role involves collaborating closely with the Site Manager and project team to take charge of specific site areas, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work delivery. It is a practical position ideal for those who thrive in hands-on environments, fostering strong relationships with subcontractors and keeping projects on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site activities within assigned areas
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trades, and suppliers on-site
- Drive progress to meet project schedules
- Uphold safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Monitor site progress and proactively address issues and risks
- Ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications
- Maintain accurate site documentation including daily reports and progress logs
- Collaborate with the broader project team to achieve essential milestones
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience as a Site Supervisor on Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction projects
- Background working on large-scale construction projects, preferably valued over $70 million
- Experience in health sector projects is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and delivery processes
- Confidence in managing subcontractors and enhancing site productivity
- Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Excellent leadership and communication capabilities
- Proactive, well-organized, and solution-oriented mindset
