Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an Industrial Services (IS) Operative to join our team. In this position, you will perform industrial cleaning tasks at various client locations using specialized high-risk confined space entry methods and high-pressure water jetting equipment. The role involves remediating and decontaminating industrial components such as tanks, vessels, piping systems, and land areas. Support for major turnaround projects and operations at COMAH and other high-risk sites across the UK is a key aspect of the job. This role includes travel, occasional overnight stays, and requires full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, with overtime compensated accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform industrial cleaning using high-risk confined space entry techniques and high-pressure water jetting equipment.
- Remediate and decontaminate tanks, vessels, pipe networks, and perform land decontamination.
- Collaborate effectively with teams of skilled colleagues during large-scale projects and turnarounds.
- Travel to customer locations throughout the UK, including the potential for overnight stays.
- Demonstrate a proactive, cooperative, and driven team attitude.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Certification or practical experience with High-Pressure Water Jetting (preferred).
- Certification or experience in Breathing Apparatus usage (preferred).
- Confined Space certification or experience (preferred).
- Valid current driving license, ideally with towing capability.
- Strong customer service skills demonstrated by a friendly and helpful demeanor.
