Site Operative

Position Overview

This permanent full-time role is based at the Newquay Household Waste Recycling Centre, involving a 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday. The hourly wage offered is £12.85, complete with full personal protective equipment (PPE) and eligibility for company benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by advising and assisting the public on effective use of the site to maximize material recovery.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records for material removals from the site.
• Manage container exchanges by coordinating load bookings to ensure adequate space for proper material segregation and storage.
• Keep the site areas under your care clean and well organized.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and welfare legal requirements for employees and visitors.
• Work collaboratively with the company and colleagues to meet site permit conditions, applicable laws, and internal policies and procedures.
• Perform additional reasonable duties within the role's scope as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Team player with strong customer service skills.
• Prior experience with mobile plant operation is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Adaptable and willing to cover shifts during holidays or sickness to maintain operations continuity.
• Motivation to acquire further qualifications, including IOSH Health and Safety certification.
