Role overview

Gopuff is hiring a Site Manager for its Field Operations team in Towson, Maryland. This position calls for a proactive, entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a high-energy environment and brings resilience, optimism, and a strong sense of ownership. You will oversee a local group of Shift Leaders and Field Operations Associates, while also managing the performance of independent Driver Partners.

The role carries direct responsibility for the site’s results. Success depends on your ability to lead effectively and keep the team focused on giving customers a consistently excellent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own daily facility operations across deliveries, inventory, equipment, and systems, and ensure they run smoothly.
  • Improve operational KPIs, including order picking time, order dwell time, drive time, order defect rate, and cost per order.
  • Train and coach team members to work safely and consistently follow standard processes.
  • Protect site financial performance by meeting productivity, labor, and expense targets set in the budget.
  • Ensure warehouse compliance with company rules, legal requirements, policies, and procedures by reviewing and interpreting reports.
  • Oversee safety, HR compliance, asset protection, safety controls, and quality assurance reviews for both people and products.
  • Design and execute action plans that lift performance, strengthen company program adoption, and maintain confidentiality of records and documentation.
  • Build and roll out plans that improve safety, workplace culture, and the financial health of the facility.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in a fast-moving environment, including leadership of a blended workforce made up of W2 and 1099 workers.
  • Background in retail, grocery, military, restaurant, or a similar setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Well-developed conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in team development and employee engagement.
  • Comfort using computers, email, and Google Suite.
  • Ability to lead effectively in a changing environment.
  • Proven history of improving processes and efficiency as a change agent.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including peak hours from 5 pm to 3 am, with weekend and holiday support as needed.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk during shifts.
  • Capability to lift up to 49 pounds.
