Role overview
This position is based at the Hyderabad TS Plant in Andhra Pradesh and supports the manufacturing site through government relations work. The focus is to safeguard and strengthen P&G India’s reputation, competitiveness, and shareholder value by shaping favorable outcomes through policy, legislative, and regulatory engagement at the national and local government levels. The role also contributes to P&G India’s external representation in line with the company’s global Purpose, Values and Principles.

Team and reporting line
This role sits within the Facilities job family and reports to the Global Government Relations Manager India.
What success in this role looks like
Success will come from generating business insights and opportunities that support decision-making, while also building and sustaining strong relationships with important stakeholders based on trust, respect, and the company’s principles.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a solid understanding of P&G India’s business priorities, the wider external environment, and the structure and workings of government and policy-making in India.
- Create and maintain effective working relationships across federal and state government departments and related organizations, including senior officials such as Secretaries, Under Secretaries, and Director Generals, while staying aligned with the company’s values.
- Take a proactive leadership approach by spotting issues and opportunities that can improve growth and competitiveness, working effectively both independently and with teams, and making decisions that protect and enhance P&G’s credibility.
- Track political and legislative developments closely to identify emerging risks and challenges that could affect profitability and market position.
- Respond to crises by developing and executing plans to manage government interfaces at local, provincial, and central levels, aiming to reduce disruption to operations and reputation.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively in writing and verbally to strengthen stakeholder relationships and represent P&G’s point of view effectively.
Role requirements
- Five to ten years of professional experience.
- Familiarity with local and regional context, including the local language.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
