Site Foreman

Overview

This role involves managing construction projects valued between €0.5 million and €10 million, providing an excellent opportunity for a skilled Foreman eager to develop their career within the construction sector. The position is based in Drogheda, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across the construction project from inception through to completion and handover.
• Complete required daily and weekly site management checklists.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site trades and subcontractors.
• Ensure all Health and Safety standards and protocols are strictly adhered to.
• Manage traffic flow and site logistics efficiently.
• Conduct site inductions for personnel and visitors.
• Participate actively in site management meetings.
• Maintain comprehensive site documentation including daily diaries, allocation and time sheets, labor records, progress reports, plant and material returns, and local purchase documentation.

Candidate Requirements

• At least five years' experience in a comparable role with a Main Contractor, primarily in Residential or Housing projects.
• Possession of a degree or trade qualification is mandatory.
• Strong communication skills combined with a thorough understanding of construction methods, trades, and technical procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant construction and health and safety regulations.
• Proven experience in maintaining quality management on site.
• Demonstrable success in delivering projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Basic proficiency in computing, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to utilize effective project management techniques.
• Valid clean European driving license.
• Strong teamwork orientation and reliability under deadlines.
• Excellent numerical and computing abilities.
