We are currently seeking a Site Food Safety & Quality Manager based at Reporoa. Reporting to the Regional FSQ Manager and part of the Site Leadership Team, you will be responsible for championing exemplary food safety, quality, and compliance standards across our site.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and nurture a robust food safety and quality culture throughout the site by providing leadership, training, and coaching.
- Take ownership of continuously enhancing the Food Safety & Quality Management System, ensuring it meets regulatory, customer, certification, and internal standards.
- Offer expert advice on all food safety, quality, and compliance issues, including change management and non-routine operations.
- Lead and prepare for internal and external audits, inspections, and verifications, ensuring prompt resolution of audit findings.
- Manage site responses to food safety and compliance incidents while serving as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with site leadership to implement ongoing improvements and sustainable solutions to FSQ challenges.
Candidate Profile
- Proven expertise in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance within a food manufacturing context.
- In-depth knowledge of Food Safety & Quality Management Systems such as HACCP, Risk Management Programs, validation protocols, and prerequisite systems.
- Experience in leading or participating in internal and external audits.
- Demonstrated ability to influence diverse stakeholders and foster effective team relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on sustainable root cause resolution.
- Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing teams.
- Background in the dairy industry is advantageous.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, or equivalent industry experience.
