Site Engineer – Joinery and Fit-out Division

About the Role

We are a premier turnkey interior fit-out contractor seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to join our expanding team in Dubai. The ideal candidate thrives on managing high-quality projects, completes tasks on schedule, and excels in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Primary Duties

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee project timelines alongside the Project and Division Managers to ensure milestone adherence.
• Direct and monitor all on-site operations for interior fit-out, joinery, MEP, and civil works, ensuring alignment with project plans and quality benchmarks.
• Manage day-to-day coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to guarantee timely and accurate project delivery.
• Forecast material needs, organize inventory at the site, and ensure correct storage methods to reduce waste and control costs.
• Identify technical challenges onsite, develop engineering solutions, and coordinate with consultants or design teams for necessary approvals.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections, generate snag lists, and supervise defect rectifications.
• Enforce compliance with UAE labor laws, as well as Environment, Health, and Safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain up-to-date shop drawings, as-built drawings, inspection requests, and daily reports for clients and management review.
• Compile progress reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, detailing achievements, delays, risks, and recommending corrective measures.
• Manage cost control by monitoring resources, identifying variations, and assisting in preparing variation claims or extensions of time.
• Participate in site meetings with clients, consultants, and project managers to provide updates and resolve technical queries.
• Ensure project closeout activities are completed, snag issues are resolved, and all documentation is ready for client handover.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in interior fit-out, joinery, civil, or MEP projects, preferably within the UAE.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field.
• Strong familiarity with local regulatory standards such as Dubai Municipality and Trakhees.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD, MS Project; Primavera skills are advantageous, along with MS Office competency.
• Exemplary leadership abilities, communication skills, and effective time management.
• Capability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently, especially under pressure.
