Site Capital Projects Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a Site Capital Projects Manager to oversee the planning and execution of capital projects at our Hokitika facility. This position reports directly to the site General Manager and is a key member of the Hokitika leadership team. The role includes managing a small team of Capital Project Managers and directing projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring they meet safety standards, deadlines, and align with the company's strategic priorities.

Main Responsibilities

• Direct complete project cycles from initial scope definition through to final delivery.
• Oversee budget management, scheduling, resource allocation, and project scope control.
• Lead and mentor the team of Capital Project Managers.
• Coordinate efforts between contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.
• Champion robust health and safety procedures and ensure compliance.
• Implement standardized project management methodologies and foster continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an experienced project leader with a track record in managing capital projects within industrial or manufacturing settings.

• Possess relevant qualifications in engineering, project management, or closely related fields.
• Demonstrate proven success delivering medium to large scale capital projects.
• Exhibit strong leadership qualities and adeptness in managing stakeholder relationships.
• Have deep understanding of project scheduling, risk mitigation, and budget control.
• Experienced in overseeing contractors and promoting health and safety in project environments.
• Be capable of prioritizing, solving problems effectively, and achieving outcomes in dynamic conditions.
• Display collaborative and adaptable leadership, balancing strategic oversight with practical project execution.
