Role Overview

This full-time, onsite position based in Burnie, Tasmania, involves fabricating and installing a variety of signs, such as printed and vinyl signage, aligned with client requirements and brand standards. Daily responsibilities include operating sign-making machinery including printers, cutters, mounting tables, guillotines, saw benches, and laminators, as well as hands-on production tasks. The role demands safe installation on sites, maintaining tools and equipment, organising workspaces, and adhering to safety regulations. Effective communication with the team and clients and adhering to project timelines are crucial.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in signwriting or a related trade with practical technical skills.
• Proficiency in handling sign-making equipment like vinyl cutters, large-format printers, laminators, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in measuring, cutting, and producing quality durable signage.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities to follow instructions, collaborate with colleagues, and interact professionally with customers.
• Good knowledge of workplace health and safety guidelines, especially regarding on-site installation and equipment operation.
• Physical ability to perform installation tasks, including lifting, working safely at heights, and standing long periods.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with willingness to travel locally for installations and site visits.
• Trade qualifications, signwriting apprenticeship, or relevant industry experience are highly preferred.
