Job description

Role overview

Dongfeng Jamaica is preparing to launch its first showroom in Kingston in Q4 2026, and this position will be a key operational role from the very beginning. The person in this seat will act as the showroom’s administrative backbone, managing the back-office processes, handling customer-facing coordination, and ensuring every transaction is documented correctly from first contact through final delivery.

This role goes beyond standard dealership administration because it carries responsibility for financing, insurance, and the full paperwork trail behind each sale. It is intended for someone who is highly organised, comfortable working in a regulated environment, and confident managing multiple moving parts at once.

What you will handle

  • Serve as the first contact for visitors, incoming calls, and digital enquiries.
  • Organise the daily showroom calendar, including appointments, test drives, OEM visits, and bank meetings.
  • Assemble complete deal files for financed sales, including customer KYC documents, payslips, and bank application packs.
  • Submit financing requests to partner banks and monitor each application until approval and funding are completed.
  • Coordinate insurance documentation and any add-ons such as accessories or protection products.
  • Process contract paperwork under the dealership’s retail process and keep a complete audit trail.
  • Oversee vehicle delivery, including handover checklists, customer orientation, accessory fitting, and branded delivery procedures.
  • Match customer deposits, bank payments, and final cash flow on a weekly basis with the parent group finance team.

What the role asks for

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing administrative position within a regulated setting such as banking, insurance, mortgage origination, professional services, or a franchise dealership. Experience preparing credit or loan application packages is important, along with strong attention to document accuracy and audit readiness.

You should also bring excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable using CRM systems and digital portal-based tools.

Preferred background

  • Previous administrative experience in the automotive or dealership sector.
  • Exposure to insurance workflows or bank-side loan packaging.
  • Awareness of AML and KYC requirements.
  • Working knowledge of the Hire Purchase Act and the Sale of Goods Act.

Why this opportunity stands out

  • Play a central role in a new dealership where your work will be visible to customers, partners, and leadership.
  • Help establish the back-office function from the ground up.
  • Grow with the business as the showroom expands.
  • Use modern operational systems that support documentation and audit tracking.
  • Brand uniform is provided.
