Shop Drawings & As-Built Reviewer

Overview

We are looking for a proficient Shop Drawings & As-Built Reviewer to join our team in Jeddah. This role involves scrutinizing various types of construction and technical drawings for infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and coordination among multiple stakeholders and technical documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing shop, coordination, redline, as-built drawings, and project close-out documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications.
• Ensuring that drawings align consistently with approved designs, site conditions, survey data, utilities, and project specs.
• Collaborating with engineers, contractors, designers, BIM specialists, survey teams, and document control personnel to resolve issues related to drawings.
• Tracking and managing drawing review comments, revisions, approvals, and final close-out status in line with document control protocols.
• Confirming that as-built drawings accurately represent installed works, approved deviations, final coordinates, and constructed elements.
• Assisting in preparing final project records, handover packages, drawing registers, and close-out deliverables.
• Generating review comments, technical observations, drawing status reports, and documentation for coordination purposes.
• Suggesting improvements to drawing review processes, as-built accuracy, and overall document quality.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, BIM, or closely related disciplines.
• Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in reviewing shop, as-built, and coordination drawings along with infrastructure documentation.
• Comprehensive understanding of drawing review methodologies, construction documentation, utility coordination, design integration, and verification of as-built conditions.
• Skilled in software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, PDF markup utilities, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail for thorough examination of drawings, redlines, design changes, coordination diagrams, and close-out submissions.
• Solid knowledge of document control procedures and excellent reporting, coordination, and communication capabilities.
• Experience in documentation for as-built drawings, with fluency in both Arabic and English (verbal and written) preferred.
