Role Overview
As a Shift Leader at Tesco in Huthwaite, you will play a pivotal role in delivering excellent customer service while overseeing the daily operational activities of the store. This position requires flexibility and the ability to lead teams effectively across all store functions.
Working Hours
- Sunday: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Tuesday: 5:45 AM to 2:00 PM
- Wednesday: 5:45 AM to 2:00 PM
- Friday: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and motivating the store team to ensure customers receive exceptional service.
- Supporting operational tasks across all departments and serving as the main point of contact for daily queries.
- Covering the Senior Manager in their absence confidently and effectively.
- Building inclusive and empowering relationships among colleagues to maximize team performance.
- Adapting to changes and making thoughtful, flexible decisions.
- Coaching team members through feedback and modeling excellent service standards.
- Continuously finding ways to improve service to customers, support the community, and promote sustainability.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Proven experience in a team leadership or management role within a fast-paced retail setting.
- A strong commitment to delivering top-quality customer service.
- Ability to foster positive, long-term team relationships and create a supportive environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to keep the team well-informed using varied methods.
- Natural leadership skills that motivate and inspire the team toward outstanding achievements.
