Job Purpose

The Shift Engineer in Automation is entrusted with ensuring smooth and ongoing operations of the MSEL module production line. The role encompasses driving stabilization efforts, nurturing a capable team, and optimizing spare part handling primarily through SAP-PM system use. Achieving high equipment uptime and promoting safety and sustainability culture are essential objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement improvement measures via SQPDCME projects to reinforce module line stability, ensuring projects effectively reduce operational disturbances.
  • Lead initiatives that bolster workforce skills and teamwork, tracking capability-building activities and employee engagement levels.
  • Manage spare parts inventory efficiently, leveraging SAP-PM tools to optimize stock availability and minimize delays.
  • Monitor and improve equipment availability percentages to maintain consistent production with minimized downtime.
  • Drive organizational growth and continual progress by adhering to the Adani Business Excellence Model, fostering operational excellence across departments.

Stakeholders

Internal: Production Teams, Shift Engineers, Cluster Managers, Module Maintenance Leads and Heads
External: Equipment suppliers and Automation technology partners.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.E. or B.Tech) is required.
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years’ relevant experience in operation and maintenance of automated systems such as PLCs, Drives, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and robotics.
