Position Overview
This role is for a Sessional Personal Assistant based in the Mid & Upper Nithsdale areas including Thornhill, Closeburn, Penpont, Sanquhar, and Kelloholm. The position offers sessional contracts with multiple shift patterns available, including evenings and weekends. The role focuses on supporting individuals with care needs to help them achieve personal goals and improve their quality of life.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to individuals based on their specific needs.
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation and administering medications.
- Offer moving and handling support with full training provided.
- Use positive behavioral support techniques while helping individuals expand their social interactions.
- Adapt communication styles to build meaningful relationships with those supported.
- Work individually and collaboratively within a team to meet personal support plans and celebrate achievements.
