Position Overview
We invite passionate sessional lecturers to join our teaching faculty. Flexible scheduling options include morning, afternoon, evening, and online classes to accommodate diverse preferences. The Adelaide campus is centrally positioned within the CBD, conveniently accessible by foot from Adelaide railway station.
Reporting to the Head of School, the role involves delivering captivating and interactive educational experiences, primarily focused on teaching and assessment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach courses within the specified discipline, utilizing both on-campus and digital platforms to engage students effectively.
- Encourage student participation, provide consultations, and communicate student-related concerns to the Head of Faculty.
- Establish and sustain positive collaborations with all stakeholders to ensure smooth and consistent course delivery.
- Participate in weekly subject-focused forums and discussions.
- Evaluate student assessments promptly and in accordance with required standards.
- Contribute to moderation and benchmarking exercises as necessary.
- Attend faculty meetings and facilitate student consultations as requested.
- Engage in scholarly activities relevant to the role.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a PhD or Master's degree directly related to Early Childhood Education.
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience, ideally 5 years or more, in relevant professional practice.
- Teaching or tutoring experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with higher education standards and industry expectations.
- Awareness of contemporary developments in the discipline and active involvement in professional growth, scholarship, research, or knowledge of modern teaching, learning, and assessment practices tailored to diverse student needs.
- Strong enthusiasm for education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to complete a National Crime Check if required.
