About the Role and Project

MACA is recruiting skilled Servicepersons to join the Gruyere Gold Mine Maintenance Team operating on a 2:1 roster schedule. This role involves maintaining a fleet of large mining vehicles and equipment including CAT 785 and Komatsu 830E haul trucks, Liebherr 9400 and Komatsu PC1250 excavators, Sandvik and Epiroc drills, along with CAT D10 dozers and CAT 16M graders.

The Gruyere Gold Mine is an open pit mining site situated within the Yamarna greenstone belt roughly 200 kilometers east of Laverton, Western Australia, accessible within a two-hour flight from Perth.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Operate and maintain heavy mining machinery safely and effectively.
  • Carry out inspections and routine servicing on mining equipment.
  • Monitor equipment and plant conditions, identify issues such as leaks, and ensure stocks of oil, grease, and fuel are maintained.
  • Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Work independently with motivation and effective communication skills.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid MR or HR driver’s license.
  • Have prior experience working on mine sites as a serviceperson.
  • Skills in servicing heavy mobile mining equipment.
  • Ability to operate equipment to facilitate maintenance and inspection tasks.
  • Strong communication capabilities.
  • High self-drive and ability to work without direct supervision.
