About the Role

Thiess is looking for an experienced Serviceperson to join its permanent team at the Olive Downs Complex coal mining project. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and involves working as part of a team to deliver reliable, high-quality outcomes.

Olive Downs Complex, operated for Pembroke Resources, is a greenfield project about 80 km south-east of Moranbah, with mining commencing in mid-2023. Thiess provides end-to-end mining services at the site, including mine planning, overburden removal, drilling and blasting, autonomous load and haul, water management, rehabilitation, and mine infrastructure construction.

Accommodation is based at Civeo Coppabella, with daily bus transport between camp and site. A bus service is also available for local workers.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and service heavy earthmoving machinery.
• Carry out refuelling tasks safely and efficiently.
• Support fitters when assistance is needed.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly at all times.
• Handle general workshop tasks as required.

About You

You should have previous experience working as a serviceperson in an open-cut coal mining environment, along with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Experience in mining, heavy earthmoving, or hydraulic excavator operations will be highly valued.

• Franna ticket.
