ServiceNow Engineer

About the role

Apexon is looking for a ServiceNow Engineer to build and support enterprise-grade applications with a strong focus on secure development, thoughtful design, validation, and adherence to SDLC practices. This position involves partnering with product managers, business operations, and engineering teams to shape requirements and define delivery goals. The role also includes system design consultation, platform administration, and maintaining high-quality documentation for processes, best practices, and runbooks.

Key responsibilities

• Create full-stack solutions while factoring in security, design integrity, validation, and software development lifecycle standards.
• Work closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to translate needs into clear product objectives and requirements.
• Contribute to system design discussions and support platform management activities.
• Handle several assignments at once and apply sound judgment when deciding priorities.
• Keep team documentation, operating procedures, best practices, and runbooks current.
• Stay genuinely interested in technology and engineering problem-solving.
• Use strong analytical thinking to make practical, commercially sound decisions based on experience and knowledge.

Required experience and qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on professional experience working with ServiceNow.
• Strong background in CSM implementation.
• Ability to design solutions and architecture using best practices and out-of-the-box platform capabilities.
• Experience with integrations such as MID Server, OAuth, REST, and third-party systems.
• Exposure to Flow Designer and Agent/Configurable Workspaces.
• Past experience supporting highly available, mission-critical environments.
• Capability to work independently in a fast-moving, multi-priority setting.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Preferred: experience designing and developing distributed systems.
• Preferred: background in financial services, especially corporate cash management.
• Preferred: experience with AWS services including Amazon MSK/Apache Kafka, ECS, S3, IAM, and AWS XRay.
