Role overview

We are looking for a ServiceNow Change & Release Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and governance of platform changes and releases in a large enterprise ServiceNow setting. The role focuses on keeping all platform changes controlled, verified, and delivered through a disciplined process that reduces risk while still supporting ongoing delivery.

The right candidate will have a solid command of ServiceNow change and release practices and will be comfortable managing release cycles, applying standards, and helping keep the platform stable.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of the full change and release process, including governance of change requests, release scheduling, and coordination of deployments across environments.
  • Make sure every change is clearly documented, reviewed, approved, aligned with platform standards, and released with low risk to production.
  • Partner with delivery teams to align release timing with development plans, coordinate enhancements and fixes, and confirm release packages are ready for deployment.
  • Lead change governance activities such as CAB meetings, review and approval workflows, and tracking of decisions and follow-up actions.
  • Support execution of releases by coordinating update set movement across environments, ensuring changes are sequenced correctly, and checking release readiness before go-live.
  • Track release schedules, cross-team dependencies, change risks, and the impact of changes, while managing any issues that appear after release.
  • Act as a control gate for platform stability by enforcing release discipline, preventing conflicting or uncontrolled changes, and making sure rollback and contingency plans exist.
  • Work with stakeholders to share release plans and timelines, manage delivery expectations, and provide clear visibility into upcoming changes.

Experience and skills required

You should bring 6 to 10+ years of experience in change management, release management, or service management, ideally with hands-on exposure to ServiceNow.

A strong understanding of ServiceNow change and release processes is important, along with familiarity with update set and deployment lifecycles, and environment handling across DEV, TEST, UAT, and PROD.

We are also looking for proven experience in CAB-style governance, release planning and execution, and coordinating delivery across multiple streams.

The role requires someone who can apply structured standards, balance speed with stability, and collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

You should be confident handling release risk, managing dependencies and sequencing, understanding how changes affect incidents and problems, and staying composed in high-pressure release situations.

Preferred background

Experience with large-scale or multi-module ServiceNow environments will be an advantage.

Exposure to agile or hybrid delivery models, as well as continuous integration and delivery practices in ServiceNow, is also desirable.

Certifications

ITIL certification is preferred, and CSA would be a plus for platform familiarity.
