Service Technician - Industrial Electrician

Currently, we are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at the Alcoa Wagerup Refinery in Western Australia. This full-time, onsite position involves performing scheduled maintenance and corrective repairs on overhead cranes, while providing opportunities for you to apply your troubleshooting and technical expertise during equipment breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance, repairs, installation, testing, and certification of electric overhead cranes and hoists.
• Manage service and inspection contracts.
• Execute refurbishment and modernization projects on crane equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdown issues efficiently.
• Engage with customers to advise on repair needs and safety-related matters.
• Complete required documentation utilizing mobile devices promptly.
• Maintain awareness and compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Qualifications and Attributes

• Possession of an Electrical Trade qualification.
• A collaborative team player driven by a commitment to excellence.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with confidence in discussing business and technical findings with customers.
• Strong dedication to maintaining workplace safety.
• Previous experience with overhead cranes and hoists preferred, although comprehensive product training will be supplied.
• Capable of working at heights safely.
• Valid driver’s license is essential.
