Position Overview

Work Environment and Locations
- This role operates across regional Australia and is not a fly-in fly-out position; candidates must reside in the region.
- Key locations include Merredin, Jurian Bay, Geraldton in Western Australia; Port Augusta/Whyalla, Millicent/Mt Gambier in South Australia; Warnambool, Ballarat, Sale in Victoria; Canberra/Goulburn, Inverall/Glen Innes in New South Wales; Hughenden, Chinchilla/Dulacca, Atherton in Queensland; and Musselroe, Granville Harbour in Tasmania.
- Standard working hours are approximately 8 hours per day, with on-call duties about once every 3 to 4 weeks during weekends.
- Annual travel expectations are approximately 50 days.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to the highest safety and environmental standards while meeting service objectives.
- Perform routine service inspections following Vestas' specifications, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic component replacement and fault diagnosis.
- Ensure seamless operation of wind turbines using condition monitoring systems and remote controls.
- Manage service vehicles efficiently, including inventory control by ordering materials, tools, and spare parts as required.
- Assemble and service turbine components according to current standards and instructions, utilizing cranes when necessary.
Qualifications
- Completed trade certification in electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic fields with a strong desire to advance practical skills.
- Proficient computer literacy for managing monitoring tools and documentation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Valid driver’s license is a mandatory requirement.
