Job description
Position Overview
Thiess invites applications for the role of Service Person at our Curragh North Coal Project, located 10km north of Blackwater in Queensland's Bowen Basin. This full-time, onsite position involves mechanical servicing of heavy earthmoving machinery with a focus on quality and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform servicing and maintenance tasks on heavy earthmoving equipment.
- Carry out refueling operations to ensure machinery readiness.
- Provide support to fitters as needed within the workshop environment.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace cleanliness at all times.
- Perform general workshop duties to assist with smooth operations.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Possession of a mechanical trade qualification or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous mine site experience working as a serviceperson is essential.
- HR driver's licence is desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in mining, heavy earthmoving, or hydraulic excavator industries.
- Strong commitment to safety culture and principles.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications for working at heights.
- High risk EWP (Elevating Work Platform) licence.
- High risk forklift licence.
- Confined space entry certification.
- Franna crane operator ticket.
