Role overview
BESIX Watpac is looking for a Service Desk Analyst to become part of its Information Technology team at the head office in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. This position plays an important part in supporting the organisation’s technology operations and ensuring staff receive responsive, high-quality IT service that helps the business run effectively.
Key duties
- Act as the initial contact for IT support enquiries and accurately record all incidents and service requests in the ticketing system with full details.
- Work toward resolving incidents and requests within the agreed service targets.
- Deliver both first- and second-level desktop and technical support, including setup, configuration and rollout of devices and software.
- Provide training to employees on the use of workplace hardware, software and remote access tools.
- Keep the IT asset register up to date and manage the issue, return and retirement of technology equipment, including ordering, assigning and collecting IT assets.
What you need
- A tertiary qualification in information technology, together with experience in a comparable position.
- Working knowledge of desktop hardware and software, particularly Microsoft products.
- The ability to communicate clearly and support staff professionally, helpfully and in a timely manner when technical issues arise.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small, practical and solution-driven team.
