About the Role
Harmony Australasia is looking for an experienced and safety-driven Service Crew Operator to become part of our underground mining team based at the high-performing CSA copper mine in Cobar, New South Wales. This residential role operates on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotational roster covering day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and upkeep of critical underground services such as air, water, dewatering systems, ventilation, and power cabling.
- Providing assistance with underground infrastructure relocations, including setting up pumps and ventilation apparatus.
- Performing inspections and basic troubleshooting on service equipment to ensure operational reliability.
- Offering support to jumbo and development crews as required.
- Maintaining exemplary housekeeping and adhering strictly to safety protocols within all work areas.
Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrable underwater mining experience, ideally in a service crew capacity.
- Strong understanding of underground mine services and associated equipment.
- Physically capable of performing demanding manual handling tasks in subterranean environments.
- Committed team player who prioritizes safety and compliance with site procedures.
- Possession of a current driver's license and ability to pass comprehensive pre-employment medical and substance screening.
Working Conditions and Additional Information
This position requires residency on-site during work periods and operates on a 7/7 days or nights rotational schedule. Candidates must have legal eligibility to live and work in Australia. Upon hiring, employees will undergo thorough medical screening including drug and alcohol testing.
