Senior Vice President of Procurement

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Vice President of Procurement to own and evolve the company’s worldwide procurement direction, strengthen sourcing performance, and raise operational standards across the enterprise. In this executive position, you will guide procurement operations, strategic sourcing, category oversight, supplier collaboration, and broader procurement transformation efforts that support sustainable business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and deliver a global procurement roadmap that supports company objectives and long-range priorities.
• Oversee procurement operations at the enterprise level, including strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, and governance.
• Develop strong, long-term alliances with priority suppliers and external partners.
• Set procurement policies, standards, and procedures that improve consistency, efficiency, and operational quality.
• Lead sourcing programs across both direct and indirect spend categories.
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Legal, Information Technology, Product, and executive teams to ensure procurement efforts align with business goals.
• Negotiate major supplier contracts and build ongoing supplier performance programs.
• Improve procurement through workflow optimization, automation, digital tools, and data-led decision-making.
• Define performance measures, spend analysis methods, and reporting structures that improve visibility and effectiveness.
• Hire, coach, and grow procurement leaders while promoting collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Share procurement plans, supplier insights, and performance updates with executive stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Vendor Management, or similar executive roles.
• A proven track record of leading large-scale procurement functions in complex, global organizations.
• Strong command of strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, procurement operations, and category management.
• Ability to design procurement strategies that improve operational performance and support durable business growth.
• Experience driving cross-functional work with Finance, Operations, Legal, Information Technology, and Supply Chain teams.
• Strong analytical thinking, financial judgment, and strategic planning skills.
• Hands-on experience with procurement technology, ERP systems, spend management platforms, and procurement analytics solutions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with publicly traded or fast-growing organizations.
• Exposure to technology, manufacturing, healthcare, life sciences, consumer products, industrial, or similarly complex environments.
• Experience managing procurement teams spread across different geographies.
• Familiarity with procurement transformation, supplier performance management, digital procurement platforms, and enterprise sourcing best practices.
