Role Overview
The SVP of Operational Excellence is a full-time, remote leadership position responsible for directing company-wide operational strategies, enhancing performance, and fostering continuous improvement within Floodgate Automation's technology and industrial solution domains. This role involves creating and instituting operational frameworks, defining KPIs, and adopting best practices to ensure scalable service delivery in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, and defense. The incumbent will guide cross-functional teams to refine processes, elevate quality standards, minimize operational risks, and improve customer experiences spanning onboarding, service execution, and lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operational data to inform strategic decisions and optimize performance.
- Align supply chain and manufacturing operations with overarching business goals.
- Collaborate with product development and engineering leaders to standardize processes across multiple regions and business units.
- Lead and mentor operations leaders to foster professional growth and operational excellence.
- Support substantial transformation programs and initiatives aimed at process and quality improvements.
- Engage with strategic partners and OEMs to streamline operations and facilitate innovation.
- Contribute to executive-level long-term planning and pivotal decision-making activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Manufacturing Operations and Management, demonstrating enhanced efficiency, scalability, and quality improvements.
- Strong expertise in Operational Excellence principles and continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management, including demand forecasting, supplier relationships, logistics, and cost control in tech or industrial sectors.
- Significant executive leadership background managing cross-disciplinary teams, establishing strategic objectives, and influencing organizational stakeholders.
- Familiarity with technology-driven and industrial sectors like automation, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or oil and gas, especially in emerging markets.
- Advanced analytical proficiencies with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making and performance tracking.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork capabilities suited for remote and distributed work environments alongside OEMs and technology partners.
- Educational credentials include a relevant bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business, or related disciplines; a master's-level qualification such as an MBA is favored.
