About the Role

The Senior Vice President of E-Commerce will shape and steer the company’s worldwide digital commerce direction, with ownership of online revenue expansion and the full e-commerce operating model. This executive role is focused on building and delivering forward-looking commerce initiatives that improve the customer journey, grow market presence, and increase profitability across every digital sales channel.

In partnership with senior leadership, this leader will help accelerate digital transformation, strengthen omnichannel execution, and improve the organization’s competitive standing in a rapidly changing e-commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement the organization’s global e-commerce plan to meet objectives for revenue, profit, and market growth.
  • Direct all digital commerce activities, including DTC, online marketplaces, mobile commerce, and omnichannel programs.
  • Take full ownership of e-commerce P&L performance, revenue projections, budgets, and growth goals.
  • Improve customer acquisition, conversion, repeat purchase, and lifetime value through targeted strategies.
  • Oversee website performance, digital merchandising, pricing approach, and user experience improvements.
  • Work with marketing teams to ensure digital advertising, customer engagement, and commerce efforts are aligned.
  • Drive the rollout and refinement of e-commerce platforms, digital solutions, and new technologies.
  • Scale international e-commerce operations and support expansion into new global markets.
  • Use analytics and customer intelligence to raise performance, satisfaction, and operating efficiency.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, fulfillment, finance, technology, and customer service teams to keep commerce operations running smoothly end to end.
  • Spot and assess new digital business models, partnerships, and revenue opportunities.
  • Recruit, coach, and lead high-performing global e-commerce and digital commerce teams.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-Commerce, Information Systems, or a similar discipline is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in e-commerce, digital commerce, retail, or online business leadership.
  • Minimum 7 years in senior leadership roles managing large-scale e-commerce organizations.
  • Strong evidence of generating substantial online revenue growth and leading digital transformation efforts.
  • Deep familiarity with e-commerce platforms, digital marketing technologies, analytics systems, and customer engagement tools.
  • Solid understanding of omnichannel retail, marketplace ecosystems, and direct-to-consumer business models.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing global e-commerce operations across several international markets.
  • Exposure to retail, consumer products, technology, healthcare, luxury goods, or marketplace-based businesses.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered personalization, customer data platforms, and marketing automation tools.
  • Knowledge of digital payment systems and international e-commerce compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to scale fast-growing digital commerce organizations.
