Senior UX Content Writer

Overview

A financial services organization is looking for a seasoned Senior UX Content Writer to craft clear, customer-centered copy across digital products and end-to-end customer journeys. This position suits someone who has worked in regulated industries and knows how to turn complicated information into straightforward, accessible language while keeping customer value, business priorities, and compliance in balance.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will help build strong digital experiences by producing content that improves understanding, confidence, and engagement.

Content Strategy and Governance

• Build and maintain content approaches that support both customer goals and business needs.
• Set and preserve tone-of-voice guidance, content rules, and messaging structures.
• Drive consistency and quality across digital channels and customer touchpoints.
• Spot opportunities where content can improve comprehension and engagement.

Content Development

• Develop and refine copy for a variety of digital channels and customer journeys, such as websites, landing pages, digital products, customer messages, email campaigns, notifications, help content, educational material, FAQs, and knowledge resources.
• Turn complex topics into simple, clear, and audience-friendly language.
• Make sure all content follows accessibility and readability best practices.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Researchers, Developers, Marketing teams, and other business stakeholders.
• Take part in discovery workshops, journey-mapping sessions, and content review discussions.
• Use customer research and insights to guide content choices.

Optimisation and Performance

• Review customer feedback and performance metrics to strengthen content impact.
• Support testing and experimentation efforts for content improvements.
• Help enhance acquisition, onboarding, servicing, and retention journeys through better content.

Required Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in UX writing, content design, content strategy, copywriting, or a closely related field. Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, investments, pensions, or another regulated sector is important, along with a proven ability to explain complex information in a clear and engaging way. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills are essential, as are solid stakeholder management and collaboration abilities. You should also understand accessibility, inclusive content principles, and modern best practices. Familiarity with tools such as Figma or similar design and collaboration platforms is expected.

Preferred Experience

• Background in content design systems and governance frameworks.
• Exposure to UX research, usability testing, and customer insight work.
• Knowledge of behavioural design and customer psychology.
• Experience improving content for search and digital performance.
• Working knowledge of content management systems.
