About the Role
Join Zurich Insurance as a Senior Underwriter specializing in Financial Institutions, based in Munich with options also available in Frankfurt, Köln, Hamburg, or Kornwestheim. This position entails underwriting both new and existing policies within the Financial Institutions sector, carefully evaluating and making informed underwriting decisions. You will craft and negotiate tailored insurance solutions to address complex client needs, lead international insurance programs, and ensure their execution across multiple markets. Collaborate closely with sales teams to maintain and grow broker and client relationships. Additionally, you will contribute to product innovation, develop pricing tools, analyze portfolio performance, and regularly report on your findings.
Requirements
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to assert oneself effectively.
- Strong analytical thinking and customer-oriented approach coupled with excellent team collaboration.
- A degree in law or economics, or a completed professional education in the insurance sector.
- Several years of experience in Financial Institutions insurance lines (including FI/D&O, FI/PI, IMI, BBB, EPLI, SB) and familiarity with managing international program business.
- Expertise in corporate and financial analysis alongside knowledge of both national and international insurance markets.
- Fluency in German and professional proficiency in English.
- Compliance with the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD), including submission of declarations of reliability and financial status as per §48 VAG, and proof of appropriate qualifications.
