Role overview
McGraw Hill is seeking a Senior Technology Recruiter to drive hiring for its Digital Enterprise Services technology organization. In this strategic role, you will combine data-led recruiting, AI-enabled tools, and strong business partnership to help build high-performing engineering and technology teams. The position is remote and available only to candidates who are authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
About the company
McGraw Hill focuses on creating digital learning experiences that improve outcomes for learners and educators. The organization emphasizes innovation, collaboration, meaningful products, and a workplace culture that supports both professional growth and personal well-being.
Key responsibilities
You will act as a trusted talent advisor to business leaders, helping shape hiring strategy, strengthen talent pipelines, and improve recruitment outcomes across technology functions.
- Work closely with business and functional leaders to understand team strategy, growth plans, and hiring priorities, then turn those insights into targeted recruiting plans.
- Customize the employer value proposition for different business areas and proactively build diverse candidate pipelines.
- Share market intelligence and hiring insights that help leaders make stronger talent decisions.
- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, selection, and offer handling.
- Use AI-supported sourcing, matching, and screening tools to create strong candidate pipelines quickly and efficiently.
- Partner with hiring managers on interview design and use data to support candidate evaluation.
- Provide a personalized and responsive candidate experience that reflects the company’s brand and values.
- Use AI-driven scheduling, communication, and engagement tools to keep candidates informed and connected.
- Focus personal time and attention on high-value touchpoints such as interviews, offers, and final decisions.
- Promote AI and new recruiting technologies that improve speed, quality, and efficiency across the hiring process.
- Operate ATS, candidate funnel tools, and specialized recruiting platforms at an advanced level.
- Review recruiting metrics and data to continually improve strategy and outcomes.
- Build strong working relationships across business units and geographies.
- Collaborate with global talent acquisition teams to maintain alignment and consistent delivery.
- Participate in strategy sessions, product launches, and team-building activities with business leaders.
- Serve as a consultative advisor on talent matters rather than simply processing requisitions.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in talent acquisition, covering a broad mix of roles and functions.
- Minimum 3 years of experience recruiting for software development and engineering positions.
- Background in corporate recruiting with a consistent record of successful hiring outcomes.
- Ability to design and execute strategic hiring plans.
- Strong expertise in sourcing methods, talent mapping, and competitive market intelligence.
- Consultative approach with the ability to influence hiring decisions and guide leaders through complex stakeholder environments.
- Advanced skill with ATS and CRM systems.
- Hands-on experience using sourcing platforms and modern search tools.
- Experience working with AI-based recruiting tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 15%.
Nice to have
- Experience or subject-matter knowledge in related talent areas such as onboarding, performance management, or employee development.
- Strong ability to use recruiting analytics for data-backed decision-making.
Compensation and benefits
The annual base pay range for this role is USD 95,000 to USD 115,000. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. A yearly bonus plan may also be included, along with medical and other benefits depending on the position.
