Job description
Opportunity Overview
This role is a remote-first senior recruitment position based in Australia, focused on building business across marketing, creative, digital, technology, and AI-related hiring. The opportunity is designed for a commercially strong consultant who wants to operate with a high degree of independence, shape opportunities rather than simply respond to briefs, and develop a desk from the ground up.
The position sits within a modern recruitment environment that emphasizes AI-enabled tools, market insight, and a consultative approach to talent acquisition. The business is looking for someone who can identify emerging demand, create client opportunities, and deliver full-cycle recruitment outcomes across contract, freelance, and permanent talent solutions.
Compensation and Rewards
- Competitive base salary with uncapped commission
- $8,000 annual learning fund
- Unlimited paid time off
- Monthly work-tech support to help cover remote working costs
- Extra 5 days of “A-Leave” during the December festive season
What You Will Be Doing
- Research the Australian market to spot business changes, digital programs, and AI initiatives that create recruitment opportunities.
- Develop new client relationships and position talent solutions proactively rather than waiting for predefined job briefs.
- Partner with senior leaders such as marketing directors, CTOs, and HR executives to advise on workforce planning, talent mapping, and hiring strategy.
- Manage the complete 360 recruitment process, from client development through to candidate engagement and placement.
- Build credibility in specialist areas such as AI product management, UX/CX design, data analytics, and generative AI engineering.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative national team culture.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- You have strong agency recruitment or business development experience, ideally in Australia.
- You have a proven record of exceeding targets and generating substantial billings.
- You understand how commercial trends, technology shifts, and market events influence hiring needs.
- You are confident in consultative selling and can influence senior stakeholders with ease.
- You are comfortable operating in a remote, self-managed environment and taking ownership of results.
Who Should Apply
This role is suited to experienced recruiters or talent consultants who want to build a high-performing desk, work remotely anywhere in Australia, and operate with autonomy, flexibility, and strong earning potential. It is especially relevant for professionals who are motivated by commercial growth, senior stakeholder engagement, and emerging areas of marketing and technology hiring.
Additional Information
The role is based in Australia and can be performed fully remotely from anywhere in the country. The niche focus includes marketing, creative, digital, technology, and AI orchestration. The compensation model combines a competitive base with uncapped commission and a learning budget. The business promotes a low-politics, collaborative culture and values discretion in candidate conversations.
