Role overview
This position is for an experienced Systems Engineer who can combine technical depth in data center and cloud solutions with strong presales capability and a customer-first mindset. The role sits within a collaborative sales engineering environment in Riyadh and focuses on helping win mid-market customers, supporting technical sales motions, and contributing to business expansion.
Team environment
You will join the Sales Engineering function at Nutanix in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The team works in a cooperative setting that emphasizes shared learning, teamwork, and support across colleagues. Its purpose is to deliver practical, innovative technical solutions for mid-market clients and build durable customer relationships through tailored engagement.
The role reports to the SE Manager, who leads with a results-driven approach and does not micromanage day-to-day work.
Key responsibilities
- Support the sales organization with technical expertise that helps move opportunities forward and secure wins.
- Run customer-facing presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept activities aligned to client requirements.
- Work in coordination with sales, channel, and marketing teams to strengthen customer engagement.
- Shape and deliver technical selling approaches that promote adoption and effective use of the software.
- Organize and carry out customer visits to understand needs and uncover business opportunities.
- Stay current on core offerings, market developments, and competitor positioning.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration and knowledge exchange within the team.
- Meet individual performance goals connected to sales outcomes and customer engagement.
What the employer is looking for
- More than 10 years of experience in a customer-facing technical position, including over 6 years in a presales engineering role.
- Strong command of the technical details needed to position and sell Nutanix products and services.
- Clear understanding of the region, along with the ability to connect simplicity, cloud-first thinking, and cost efficiency to customer value and sales success.
- Practical technical ability and flexibility to respond to changing market needs.
- Experience with public cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as hybrid cloud environments and cloud-native tools including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Solid presales experience with confidence in presenting solutions and delivering demonstrations.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to explain challenges clearly and propose solution paths.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Arabic.
- Technical advisory strength with a focus on building customer relationships and engagement.
- Ability to work effectively with internal teams and account managers.
- High standards of professional and personal integrity.
- Motivation to keep learning, take on challenges, and continuously improve.
Work arrangement
This is an on-site position based in Riyadh. Being physically present is expected so that you can collaborate directly with teammates and access the resources needed to support your work. Any additional team-specific working norms will be shared by your manager.
