Role Overview

As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for helping deliver and improve technical solutions that support a value stream team. In this role, you will connect business goals with technical execution by analyzing complex systems, defining requirements in detail, and contributing to the design and implementation of end-to-end capabilities. You will work closely with product owners, architects, developers, testers, and other stakeholders to understand processes, document system behavior, identify gaps, and convert strategic objectives into actionable user stories and technical specifications. Solution designs are expected to be modern, adaptable, scalable, and loosely coupled wherever possible.

Technical Requirements

The role calls for strong experience in requirements elicitation and documentation, including both functional and non-functional needs. You should be comfortable with process and data modeling, creating clear and testable user stories with acceptance criteria, and working with relational databases, SQL, and Python for querying and validation. The position also requires experience documenting data mappings and transformations, analyzing data using Excel, SQL tools, or BI platforms, and interpreting architecture diagrams and technical specifications. Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, ETL workflows, version control tools such as GitHub, project tracking tools like Jira, Agile delivery methods such as Scrum or Kanban, and the software development life cycle is important. Familiarity with secure handling of sensitive information, including financial data and personally identifiable information, is also expected.

Experience and Preferred Background

This position requires 6 to 10 years of relevant experience. Candidates with experience in the insurance or financial services sector are preferred, and an AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is also highly valued.

You should be able to work independently, handle several projects at once, maintain a high standard of quality, and pay close attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will design technical solutions aligned with business needs, carry out technical evaluations, and help ensure delivery meets deadlines and quality expectations. You will maintain close communication with internal and external stakeholders, keep them informed of progress and issues, and make sure requirements are accurately reflected in the final solution. The role also includes reviewing existing systems for opportunities to improve, optimize, or re-engineer them, and contributing ideas to evolve architecture based on business priorities and industry trends. You will participate in agile ceremonies, help resolve technical issues during implementation and operations, support post-launch troubleshooting, create and maintain detailed documentation, share knowledge with teammates, and stay current with emerging tools and best practices.
