Senior Surveyor / Team Leader

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Surveyor / Team Leader for our Auckland-based team. In this pivotal role, you will manage and lead the delivery of intricate and high-value survey projects, ensuring technical excellence and successful project outcomes. Your leadership will help cultivate a productive and collaborative environment, as you mentor and develop a team of 5–7 surveyors—dedicating approximately 30% of your time to people management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of complex survey projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and financial targets are met.
• Oversee project delivery independently and within teams, guiding staff to achieve exceptional standards.
• Directly support, mentor, and coach your team to build their technical expertise and encourage professional growth.
• Participate in planning and allocation of resources, as well as providing daily direction to your team.
• Engage in hands-on project management and on-site surveying activities as necessary.

Technical Requirements

• Extensive experience in surveying, including proficiency with GNSS, robotic total stations, and laser scanning.
• Practical knowledge of 12d and Autodesk software, with bonus points for experience in UAV and reality capture technologies.
