Job description
Role overview
Kimberly-Clark is seeking a Senior Supply & Demand Planner focused on the BCC (Baby and Child Care) portfolio. The role is centered on strengthening customer service while keeping inventory and ordering costs under control through disciplined supply planning and close coordination with overseas manufacturing partners.
The position also supports demand planning by helping consolidate baseline and promotional forecasts from Sales, Account Management, and Category teams. The planner will contribute to an aligned SKU-by-state forecast over a 24-month horizon and act as a key contact for short-term demand shifts and stock allocation when supply is constrained.
Working in North Sydney, this role is part of a broader supply chain function that depends on strong collaboration with cross-functional teams in Sales, Marketing, Finance, and supply planning stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and coach one direct report: a China mill-based dispatch planner responsible for purchase order raising and mixed container coordination to improve shipping efficiency.
- Improve customer service outcomes, including DIFOT and OBSL, while reducing costs through sound inventory control and ordering practices.
- Work closely with manufacturing sites overseas, primarily in China, Singapore, and Korea, and run weekly supply and production meetings.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to shape reliable demand plans supported by analysis, assumptions, and clear reasoning around demand drivers.
- Produce accurate volume forecasts for the S&OP process using documented assumptions and analysis across the planning horizon for the relevant product and customer structure.
- Support NPD launches, including SKU creation, master data setup in SAP and the PDC system, and ongoing master data maintenance as needed.
- Control SLOB exposure and reduce write-off risk through effective inventory management.
- Represent supply chain in cross-functional meetings and S&OP forums such as supply review and demand review sessions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience across both supply planning and demand planning in an FMCG setting.
- Minimum 5 years of practical use of SAP, APO, and IBP, along with solid overall ERP knowledge.
- Advanced Microsoft Office capability, especially Excel, including formulas such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Strong analytical ability, with experience using quantitative and statistical methods alongside qualitative inputs to form recommendations.
- A university qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Well-developed relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting and training.
- High-energy, self-motivated team player who works well under pressure, meets deadlines, and resolves problems effectively.
- Genuine interest in Kimberly-Clark brands and products through personal or family use.
What’s on offer
This position comes with a competitive salary and incentives, along with a strong benefits package that includes superannuation, career development opportunities, free health and wellbeing activities, volunteering leave, and additional employee benefits.
