Job description
Overview
This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain, customer service, distribution, and warehouse management, while maintaining compliance with industry standards. The main objective is to enhance order fulfillment, satisfy customer requirements, and contribute to achieving profitability and positive cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves analyzing operational processes and recommending improvements in inventory control, third-party logistics (3PL), distribution, and regulatory adherence. Supporting the procurement team with regular insights and leading a motivated team across the Asia-Pacific region are also central to the position.
Accountabilities
- Identifying and sourcing new suppliers to meet material needs.
- Evaluating and rating suppliers for quality and reliability.
- Conducting negotiations to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
- Managing ongoing supplier relationships to foster collaboration.
- Preparing detailed procurement and supply chain reports.
- Actively engaging in key meetings across APAC and global locations to align operations.
- Driving cost reduction initiatives for products and services.
- Monitoring compliance to ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
- Gathering market intelligence to strengthen readiness and responsiveness.
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced degree in Chemistry or Business Management strongly preferred.
- Certifications in Procurement or Sourcing are necessary.
- Between 7 to 10 years' experience in sourcing raw materials, intermediates, and finished chemicals, ideally from process, industrial, or fine chemical industries.
- Proficient in SAP Materials Management, particularly the purchasing modules.
- Understanding of SAP Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- High competency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, Tamil, and Hindi, with an emphasis on both verbal and written proficiency.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain networks.
- Data-oriented with solid analytical capabilities to gather, analyze, and interpret operational data.
Basic Eligibility
