The Strategy & Planning Business Analytics & Insights group is pivotal to Uber for Business's expansion efforts, creating scalable reporting frameworks, sophisticated analytics, and AI-powered tools that guide key organizational decisions. Collaborating closely with departments like Sales, Strategy Operations, and Core Operations along with leadership, this team defines essential metrics, extracts insights, and promotes accountability to help drive growth toward a $10 billion objective.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate as a strategic partner with Strategy & Operations and Core Operations teams to develop reporting and insights around major growth initiatives aligned to long-term planning.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports that monitor performance, assess impact, and enforce accountability across growth strategies.
• Conduct analyses of market positioning, wallet share, and identify new opportunity areas to guide investment decisions and focus on impactful growth segments.
• Work cross-functionally with teams such as product, sales, and operations to assess new product opportunities and translate business questions into effective data analyses.
• Distill complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations to assist leadership in making informed, data-driven decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Over four years of experience in data-centric roles like Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or Data Scientist, demonstrating a history of delivering insights that influence business decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data manipulation, KPI monitoring, and building robust data workflows and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong commercial insight with an ability to influence senior stakeholders, converting complex analyses into strategic initiatives, particularly in sales or revenue settings.
• Proven problem-solving skills and experience managing stakeholders, effectively transforming ambiguous business questions into structured analytical frameworks and communicating actionable findings.
• Experience in designing and implementing machine learning models like regression, forecasting, and opportunity sizing for business challenges including revenue growth and wallet share estimation.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical techniques including multivariate regression, time series analyses, and A/B testing to underpin data-driven decision making.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure, and big data warehouses like BigQuery or Snowflake to build scalable data and modeling solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

For positions based in San Francisco, CA, the salary range is between USD 135,000 and USD 150,000 annually. Employees are eligible for performance bonuses, equity awards, and other compensation forms. Full-time staff can participate in a 401(k) plan and benefit from various other perks.
