About the Role
This position is within a landmark mega project aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, aimed at establishing a premier destination for entertainment, culture, and lifestyle. The vast scope includes infrastructure construction, hospitality, retail, and service sectors, necessitating proficient management of supplier relationships and supply chain risks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Supplier Relationship Management & Supply Chain Risk (SRM & SCR) team in carrying out supply chain risk management tasks.
- Identify and evaluate potential supply chain risks—such as operational, financial, environmental, social, governance (ESG), compliance, geopolitical, cybersecurity, capacity, and supplier concentration risks—using established frameworks.
- Maintain and refresh supplier risk profiles, including scoring inputs, dependency evaluations, and detection of critical suppliers, under leadership guidance.
- Support the rollout and monitoring of mitigation strategies, contingency arrangements, and follow-up measures to address identified risks and ensure business continuity.
- Track external indicators affecting supply chains such as new regulations, natural disasters, market changes, and supplier incidents that may disrupt operations.
- Provide data, insights, and updates for enterprise risk dashboards and governance reporting consistent with enterprise risk management (ERM) standards.
- Gather and synthesize supply chain needs and risk details from various business units to enhance organizational risk awareness.
- Help facilitate stakeholder education and collaboration sessions addressing supplier risk reporting, escalation procedures, and response plans for supply chain disturbances.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration and high performance by sharing knowledge, coordinating activities, and adhering to documentation and reporting protocols within the SRM & SCR team.
- Assist in the creation, updating, and maintenance of policies, methodologies, playbooks, templates, and procedural documents related to supply chain risk management.
- Generate accurate reports, dashboards, and trackers that reflect trends, mitigation progress, and the status of risk-related actions.
- Drive ongoing enhancements in data quality, process discipline, tools, and reporting standards linked to supplier risk management.
- Support audit processes, internal reviews, and compliance checks concerning supplier risk documentation, governance, and related evidence.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Supplier Relationship Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Risk, or similar roles — preferably in large-scale projects such as construction, real estate, infrastructure, tourism, entertainment, or urban development.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, accounting, law, finance, business, engineering, or related disciplines; advanced degrees like a master’s or MBA are preferred at this senior level.
- Certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or equivalent risk/procurement credentials are advantageous.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulatory standards and understanding of Vision 2030 goals is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and coordination abilities with a proven capability to identify and escalate risks effectively.
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple functions and aligning stakeholder inputs with organizational processes and goals.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are highly preferred.
- Prior work experience in Saudi Arabia or understanding of the local cultural and business environment is a plus.
