Senior Specialist, Parts and Accessories Inventory

Overview

This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and cost-effective management of spare parts and accessories inventory for aftersales operations. The focus is on maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing shortages, and guaranteeing timely availability to support CEER’s aftersales activities, directly impacting customer satisfaction and supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop forecasting and simulation methodologies to predict spare parts demand, especially when lacking historical data.
• Analyze past consumption patterns, service trends, and seasonal fluctuations to project future needs.
• Collaborate closely with Service, Sales, and Planning teams to synchronize inventory with anticipated demand.
• Assist in creating demand plans for various vehicle models, parts categories, and classification segments.
• Initiate purchase orders based on approved forecasts and current inventory.
• Monitor and manage open purchase orders, liaise with suppliers to address delays or issues.
• Negotiate supplier lead times, availability, and delivery terms to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Coordinate with Sales, Service, Warehousing & Logistics, Finance, Procurement, and Manufacturing departments to maintain seamless parts availability.
• Prepare purchase requisitions for externally procured and in-house manufactured parts for managerial approval.
• Maintain precise inventory records documenting receipts, disbursements, adjustments, and transfers.
• Oversee stock levels to avoid excess inventory, obsolescence, and shortages.
• Implement and refine inventory controls such as safety stock, reorder thresholds, and min/max stock levels.
• Use SAP ERP and Warehouse Management Systems for procurement, tracking, and inventory oversight.
• Produce regular reports highlighting stock movements, consumption trends, supplier performance, and overall inventory status.
• Provide actionable insights and KPIs to support decision-making on operations and commerce.
• Report metrics including forecast accuracy, timely deliveries, inventory turnover, stock-outs, and supplier effectiveness.
• Foster strong supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with quality standards.
• Work closely with Service teams to address urgent parts requirements.
• Escalate and resolve challenges relating to parts availability, quality issues, and order discrepancies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in automotive parts procurement, inventory control, or demand planning.
• Hands-on experience in aftersales operations within dealer or OEM contexts.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is highly preferred.
