Senior Specialist - Graduate Employment and Alumni Affairs

Position Overview

The Senior Specialist in Graduate Employment and Alumni Affairs plays a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining strong connections between the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) and its graduates. The position's primary goal is to promote employment pathways for graduates and enhance the involvement of alumni with HCT and current students, in coordination with Central Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the policies, procedures, and processes established by Alumni Affairs Central Services.
• Promote HCT graduating students and alumni within the community by organizing events, seminars, and publications.
• Conduct research and outreach to community organizations to identify employment, mentoring, and sponsorship opportunities for HCT graduates.
• Develop and sustain a local alumni network through various channels such as reunions, event invitations, social media, and other on- and off-campus activities.
• Collaborate with Alumni Affairs Central Services in creating alumni relations programs that support ongoing personal and professional growth of alumni and their community engagement.
• Assist in organizing alumni networking events and activities at the community level.
• Maintain and update a comprehensive local alumni database with details on careers, employment history, and job search timelines, providing regular updates for central database consolidation.
• Educate current graduating students about alumni benefits and encourage their participation in alumni programs.
• Work in coordination with the Partnerships team to build relationships with alumni aimed at boosting graduate student employability.
• Invite alumni to campus events and manage their participation.
