Overview
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team at Walt Disney World Resort seeks an experienced Senior Specialist to enhance community impact strategies, drive philanthropic projects, manage volunteer programs, and foster stakeholder relationships, all aimed at reinforcing the company's positive influence in Central Florida.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in executing the CSR strategy and yearly objectives aligned with Disney’s business goals and local community necessities.
- Manage project lifecycles from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Support tracking and reporting on program results and performance indicators.
- Coordinate community outreach and charitable giving, including grants and partnerships with nonprofit organizations across Central Florida.
- Organize community events, volunteer initiatives, service projects, and recognition programs to engage Cast Members and local partners.
- Build and nurture positive relationships with nonprofits, educational entities, civic leaders, and community stakeholders.
- Oversee Disney VoluntEARS volunteer program activities, from event planning to volunteer recruitment and communications.
- Serve as a key liaison between Disney and community organizations to ensure effective collaboration and program success.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including budgets, calendars, project plans, and stakeholder lists.
- Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and produce executive reports and presentations.
- Represent the CSR team at external meetings and engagements as necessary, maintaining alignment with Disney’s policies and branding.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in CSR, public affairs, communications, philanthropy, nonprofit work, HR, or related fields.
- Strong relationship-building abilities with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent project management and organizational capabilities to handle multiple concurrent priorities.
- Experience in coordinating events, volunteer programs, and community outreach.
- Superior communication skills in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
- Proven collaborative team player with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage responsibilities independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Availability for flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with nonprofit partnerships, corporate citizenship, philanthropy, or social impact initiatives.
- Skills in developing impact reports, dashboards, or evaluation tools.
- Familiarity with Walt Disney World operations and the Central Florida nonprofit environment.
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, or a closely related field.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary ranges from $91,000 to $121,900 annually, dependant on experience, skills, location, and internal equity considerations. Candidates may also be eligible for bonuses and long-term incentive units, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical and financial benefits.
