Role Overview
Seeq is hiring a Solutions Consultant to support the sales journey for prospects in the oil and gas sector. In this role, you will act as a technical advisor, helping potential customers understand how Seeq’s advanced analytics platform can address complex industrial problems and improve business outcomes.
You will work closely with account executives, the Director of Solutions Consulting, and other internal teams to shape customer conversations, run discovery, deliver persuasive demonstrations, and answer technical questions. The position suits a technically strong professional who enjoys customer engagement and wants to contribute in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
What You’ll Do
- Customize product demos and presentations so they speak clearly to both technical experts and business stakeholders.
- Work alongside account executives to uncover customer challenges and connect Seeq’s capabilities to their goals.
- Guide prospects through discovery, solution design, and proof-of-value stages with technical input.
- Help improve demo materials, reusable assets, and pre-sales practices with the solutions consulting team.
- Share customer feedback with product management and engineering to influence product direction.
- Keep up with industry changes, customer scenarios, and competitor offerings to position Seeq effectively.
- Document successful approaches, customer stories, and lessons learned for internal knowledge sharing.
- Support the creation of industry-specific value propositions and solution accelerators.
- Represent Seeq at webinars, conferences, and other external events.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting, preferably in SaaS or industrial software.
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, computer science, or data science.
- At least 2 years of experience in an oil and gas technical role or in B2B selling to oil and gas clients across upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.
- Strong working knowledge of AI, machine learning, data analytics, business intelligence, or industrial operations data.
- Ability to explain technical ideas clearly to audiences ranging from executives to operators.
- Experience running software demonstrations and technical customer discussions.
- Comfort with sales workflows and CRM tools such as Salesforce, which is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities independently in a changing environment.
- Willingness to travel about 10% to 25% for customer meetings, partner meetings, team events, or conferences.
