Senior Site Engineer

Role overview

An established main contractor is hiring an experienced Senior Site Engineer to support a civil engineering project in Frankfurt, Germany. The position is based on site and offers a salary in the range of €70,000 to €85,000, depending on experience, along with flights and accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site engineering work and oversee setting out activities.
• Resolve on-site technical issues and work closely with the design team to keep the project moving.
• Guide and support junior engineers as well as subcontractor teams.
• Check that work is carried out to the required quality standards and in line with drawings and specifications.
• Contribute to programme delivery and project progress reporting.
• Keep detailed site documentation and update as-built records accurately.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline is required.
• Applicants should have at least 5 years of contractor-side experience in a site engineering position.
• Strong practical knowledge of civils, groundworks, and building construction is needed.
• Excellent setting out and surveying capability is essential.
• Experience with modern surveying tools and related software is expected.
