Job description
About Visa
Visa is a global payments technology company that helps move money between consumers, merchants, financial institutions, and public sector organizations in more than 200 countries and territories. The company’s mission is to improve how people pay and get paid, creating positive impact for communities and businesses worldwide.
This position offers the chance to contribute to work that has meaningful scale and to support initiatives that influence clients, partners, and end users across the region.
Role Overview
The Senior Sales Ops Support Manager will sit within Visa’s NZPI Sales team and support a major client partnership. The role focuses on running the operating rhythm for the account, strengthening governance, overseeing contract obligations, and tracking performance through reporting and scorecards.
This position calls for a strong mix of commercial awareness, communication ability, and program governance experience, supported by knowledge of financial services and payments. It reports to the Head of Client Engagement and works closely with teams such as Marketing, Consulting and Analytics, Product, Value Added Services, Client Services, and Client Incentive Operations.
The role also serves as a connector between Visa and client stakeholders, managing multiple cross-client initiatives, watching key milestones, and proactively identifying risks and issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the account operating cadence, including governance forums and operational meetings, both internally and with the client.
- Oversee delivery against partnership contract commitments, including volume forecasting, incentive calculations, and payment processing.
- Track, measure, and report on scorecard and business performance metrics.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to handle ad hoc requests from areas such as finance, product, marketing, and strategy.
- Create and improve templates and processes for incentive plans, project tracking, issue resolution, risk handling, and stakeholder coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of program activity and prepare management reporting.
- Use reporting tools to monitor portfolio progress and provide regular updates to business leaders on initiative status and performance.
- Support the planning and coordination of executive immersion programs and study tours.
- Ensure all activities comply with Visa financial controller procedures and controls.
- Make sure the team follows internal client relationship management processes, procedures, and tools.
- Apply Sales Operations best practices and contribute to the Sales Operations community to strengthen governance and operating models across AuNZPI.
- Step in for Account Executives when needed so client commitments and initiatives continue without disruption.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a similar field is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in program management, project management, sales operations, business planning, or a closely related discipline.
- Prior experience in a client-facing or commercially oriented environment is expected.
- Strong skills in stakeholder coordination, communication, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.
- Ability to manage governance structures, reporting cycles, and several concurrent priorities is important.
- High attention to detail, along with strong organization and documentation capabilities, is necessary.
- Experience in financial services, payments, or another regulated environment is preferred.
- Exposure to contract oversight, performance measurement, or sales operating models will be an advantage.
Work Arrangement
This is an onsite role in Auckland, New Zealand, with a requirement to be in the office at least 3 days per week. The exact in-office days will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
