Job Overview
Reporting to the Executive Assistant Manager, the Senior Sales Manager or Assistant Director Sales is tasked with actively soliciting and servicing both transient and group clientele to ensure Mondrian Singapore Duxton achieves or surpasses its set revenue targets. This role is pivotal in fostering client relationships and driving business through targeted prospecting and sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with both prospective and existing accounts through calls, in-person visits, site tours, and written proposals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Achieve a minimum of five sales appointments daily encompassing current and potential clients.
- Maintain and update sales data diligently using the ANAIS system.
- Manage all administrative support tasks such as responding to emails and maintaining databases.
- Maintain active visibility and involvement within the trade, professional associations, and local community relevant to assigned market segments.
- Directly solicit corporate, consortium, and leisure accounts, executing action plans collaboratively as needed.
- Implement sales initiatives as outlined in the Revenue/Business Plan to hit sales objectives.
- Negotiate pricing, confirm reservations via written communication, draft contracts, and secure signatures to finalize agreements.
- Assume responsibility for ongoing account management of contracted clients, setting quarterly production goals.
- Meet established room night and revenue objectives aligned with incentive schemes and annual business plans.
- Upon approval, represent the hotel at key travel trade events and associations pertinent to assigned markets.
- Collect and report market intelligence to Sales Information Management systems.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, competitor actions, and customer preferences.
- Provide timely feedback on market conditions, including competitor trends, based on solicitation efforts.
- Maintain organized records for major active accounts in designated segments.
- Foster positive internal relationships and collaborate across departments to deliver exceptional client service.
- Train and mentor sales executives and coordinators within the team.
- Take part in meetings such as RevMax, pre-conferences, and sales training sessions regularly.
- Attend relevant local trade shows, community events, and industry gatherings.
- Monitor sales inquiries and quotations meticulously, especially with regard to large group cut-off dates.
- Execute additional projects and responsibilities as delegated by department leadership.
