Role Overview
We are searching for a Senior Recruiter with the ability to source talent others cannot find. Our openings lie at unique intersections — from engineers with marketplace expertise to pricing specialists familiar with trading cards, as well as versatile operators thriving in ambiguous environments. This role demands innovative and persistent sourcing techniques beyond conventional job-posting. The recruiter will drive the entire recruitment cycle, representing our brand positively through every candidate interaction. Being an AI-focused company, we expect daily utilisation of Claude and other AI tools to enhance sourcing, screening, and overall recruiting efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for both technical and non-technical positions, encompassing intake, sourcing, screening, scheduling, offering, and closing.
- Develop innovative sourcing methods targeting rare skill combinations, passive candidates, and overlooked talent pools.
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience characterized by prompt communication, transparency, and respectful rejections, leaving candidates with a positive impression regardless of the outcome.
- Operate Greenhouse as an expert user—maintaining pipeline health, implementing scorecards and structured interviews, applying automations, and generating actionable reports for leadership.
- Integrate AI technologies like Claude throughout recruitment, from crafting sourcing strategies and customizing outreach to condensing feedback and automating routine tasks.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to refine job roles, align on candidate profiles, and maintain momentum through weekly updates.
- Analyze pipeline data to identify process bottlenecks, enhance candidate progression rates, and reduce time-to-fill metrics.
- Contribute to developing Alt’s employer brand and build talent networks within collectibles, fintech, and marketplace sectors.
Candidate Profile
- Over 5 years of comprehensive recruiting experience with a focus on challenging, low-volume, specialized searches—preferably within fast-growing startup environments.
- A talent sourcer by nature with a proven track record of building pipelines from scratch through creative outreach and sustained candidate relationships.
- Committed to delivering a standout candidate experience with well-defined standards for excellence.
- Expert proficiency in Greenhouse ATS, including administration and optimization beyond basic use.
- Strong familiarity with AI, especially Claude, leveraging it daily to increase recruiting speed and quality.
- Exceptional judgment for quickly identifying candidate potential, even when profiles deviate from traditional templates.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of working independently amid growing responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior recruitment experience in marketplaces, fintech, collectibles, or consumer sectors requiring high trust.
- Involvement in establishing recruiting processes, tools, or employer branding at early-stage companies.
