The role also involves collaborating with police and other agencies, handling visitor management concerns, reviewing proposed developments near parks and forests, and advising senior leaders and stakeholders on legislation, policy, Native Title, and cultural heritage matters.

As part of the leadership function, you will mentor and train staff, promote safe field practices, and contribute to developing a stronger compliance mindset across the region. The position is based within the Technical Support unit and requires close coordination with operational staff and statewide stakeholders.

About you

The ideal candidate is passionate about conservation, land management, and collaborative work. You should be comfortable in a busy environment with competing priorities, able to solve problems creatively, and capable of communicating clearly with a wide range of stakeholders.
