Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) to join our team. The role is pivotal in ensuring precise financial management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial elements of projects, ensuring expenditures remain within predetermined budgets.
• Maintain effective communication and strong working relationships with team members, consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers, and architects.
• Compile and evaluate cost comparisons to support decision-making processes.
• Source quotations and negotiate terms with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve cost efficiency.
• Accurately quantify materials and measurements required for projects.
• Produce monthly main claims and variation orders for consultant review.
• Prepare monthly payment certificates for subcontractors, manage variation orders, and facilitate final account settlements.
• Contribute actively to the management and reporting of project budgets and cost controls.
• Administer post-contract activities for both main contracts and subcontracts.
• Engage with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers, and contractors to certify payment claims.
• Understand different project phases to source cost-effective, quality materials.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Have at least five years of experience in Mechanical & Electrical Quantity Surveying within the construction sector.
• Experience with tendering for large-scale building projects is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented with a meticulous approach to work.
• Based at the project site office located near Loyang/Changi.
