Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Role overview

Q-Pros is hiring experienced Senior Software Quality Testing Engineers for client engagements in the UAE. The role is suited to detail-oriented professionals who communicate clearly and are deeply committed to maintaining high-quality software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Examine business requirements and design documents to spot gaps, contradictions, and unclear or impractical requirements.
• Prepare test plans and overall testing strategies.
• Build detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Develop and organize the data needed for testing.
• Carry out functional testing across smoke, sanity, confirmation, regression, UI, API, and database layers.
• Execute non-functional checks such as compatibility and usability testing, among others.
• Perform testing at multiple levels, including integration, user acceptance, and system testing.
• Log, monitor, and manage defects through tools such as Azure, TFS, and Jira.
• Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure quality metrics are reviewed, agreed upon, and closed properly.
• Ensure development work meets quality standards through test planning, test execution, quality assurance, and issue tracking.
• Prepare a variety of reports as required.

Qualifications and experience

• A university degree in a relevant field is required.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software quality control and testing is expected.
• Professional certifications are considered an advantage.
